CK Development was established by Ian & Andrea Checketts March of 2016 when they both decided they wanted to find a different path than what’s traditional. This power couple started flipping single family homes in 2016, and after completing over 30 renovations, they decided to make a change and moved to new developments. This quickly became the perfect niche due to Ian’s background in construction and development, and were able to see a greater return (with reduced stress too)!

Our goal is to build the right home in the right location, which gives our investors and ourselves peace of mind.

Ian has a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management and has been in the industry for over 12 years. Through his career, he has built from the ground up multifamily complexes averaging 332 units per development. This required in depth understanding of sequence, schedule, and rigorous budget management.

Because of Ian’s experience, we run construction in house, ensuring we have complete control of our budgets. We have a pre-vetted and trusted group of vendors we have used over the last 4 years, giving us more buying power and completed each project on time and within budget.

We currently focus on boutique-type multifamily developments ranging from 8 to 48 units. We then lease out these units and refinance with long term loans, creating a cash flowing property. We focus in the diverse Charleston area- bringing tourism, manufacturing, local port, tech companies, and so on! Time and time again, Charleston is voted as a top city for real estate investing across North America.
